The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), had recently launched his spacecraft called Chandrayan 3 on 24 August. On Thursday, is very proud moment for ISRO team and all the Indians because Lander is separated from Chandrayan 3. Read!!
On Thursday, Chandrayan 3 successfully separate from Lander named Vikram, by this they come one step closer to the safe landing at moon. Previously when Chandrayan 2 was launched, it was a fail mission because it could not make a safe landing on the moon, the lander's legs was broken due to high speed and the rover which is inside the lander who could not come out.
Let's know what is lander and Rover
Think lander is machine which have two legs, the machine is made to carry things and land on moon, and inside the machine there is rover which is to collect data, sample, and different information from moon and store it then scientists will collect all the data from the rovers memory.
So, first Vikram lander rotate around moon to trace and identify the landing position and after tracing, After that, Vikram Lander will take soft landing and after that, Pragyan Rover will come out of Vikram lander, and land on the moon via ramp (which will also come out from lander). Pragyan Rover has wheels from which he can move from one place to another and collect all the samples from moon during 14 earth days (1 lunar day). Pragyan Rover is playing of the main role of this mission because from sample and information, they can know more about moon surface.
As we know, this is very proud moment for India because Chandrayan 3's Vikram lander is going to take safe landing on south pole of the moon, this is the first time that any country is able to land on South pole of the moon.
