To know our universe, big bang theory is the source from which we can actually understand the formation of our universe, according to big ban around 13.8 billion years ago from now all the energy of our universe like matter, space, and time, all of these are stored in a small dense point, due to sudden rapid expansion of this dense point, Our universe is created and as a result of this many ordinary matters also created , from these ordinary matter many matter were created.
In the word Dark Matter, dark means this matter didn't interact with any other matter, so it is invisible, only we can feel his mass. Even light photon can easily pass through like there no matter. Astro physicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson stated that around 85% mass on gravity is still unknown, also he further said dark matter we should not be calling it, more precise word will be 'DARK GRAVITY'.
Many scientists theoretically prove that Dark Matter do exists but practically is it proved? None of them were practically proved that that dark matter exists. In year 1933 an astronomer Fritz Zwicky, during his space research, he found out that some galaxies are really big and with adding all the inside things like Star, planet, asteroids etc. Will only be 1% of total mass of the galaxy. As we know the bigger the object bigger the mass otherwise the object will become unstable, and in this case all the galaxy is stable, so Fritz Zwicky thinks and do more research, finally he introduced a term 'DARK MATTER' because mathematically he thinks there is something which is adding mass to the galaxy, which not visible. When he submitted his theory to the other scientists they refused his theory after some time Vera Rubin an American astronomer, came with same theory of Dark Matter. All Scientists was convincing by her theory of presence of dark matter in galaxy and they started researching on dark matter but didn't get any practical results as doesn't interact with anything and hence cannot be seen.
How surprising it is, living with our universe in such huge mass and still hidden. Still the research is going, hope we will find some proof that dark matter exists.
